We Get Involved

  • Several members help care for the Rose Garden at the Cape Coral Historical Society.
  • The Butterfly Garden at the Cape Coral Library was designed, planted and is maintained by our members.
  • A partnership with the City of Cape Coral was initiated and a garden at the entrance of City Hall was recently designed, installed and is being supported by the club.
  • Donations of plants and/or monies are given to Habitat for Humanity for homes built in Cape Coral.
  • Two members contribute a weekly Gardening Column to the Cape Coral Breeze newspaper.
  • Arbor Day is celebrated by planting trees at different Lee County sites, such as the Edison-Ford Winter Estates, Cape Coral Historical Society and Cape Coral parks.
  • The club has participated in several Earth Day celebrations held at the Cape Coral Library.
  • Several members create and donate floral designs as artist prizes to the Cape Coral Art Studio for their spring art show. We provided arrangements for the 5th anniversary party of the Art Gallery at the Cape Coral Public Library.
  • We award annual scholarships to local youth for Florida Federation of Garden Club Wekiva Youth Camp in Apopka, FL.
  • Merit awards are presented to worthy high school seniors, who reside in Cape Coral, to assist in their further education in Horticulture or Environmental Science.
